In the case of Al Franken, looks like the dems are committing hari kari by calling for him to resign and not Trump and a host of sorry ass republicans. I read where someone posted that democrats would be rewarded for their action. I say BS. When half the country doesn't give a hoot about republican transgressions what is there to gain by doing the right thing? Besides we need his vote against that tax bill.
480361, yeah. that'll fire up the base.|

This is not about sexual harassment. It is about overturning the will of the people without due process.
The people of Minnesota elected Franken and without some process you are ignoring those voters.
Fuck the democrats for not having any idea of the seriousness of what they are asking for and fuck them for using this as a political ploy.
This also trivializes the accusations made against Franken and any other man. The accusers deserve access to due process as well. Without that process their claims are not vindicated as true.
An honest Republican?

Franken should not be asked to resign.
480364, Senator Franken will make an announcement Thursday. |

I hope he hangs in there. I want to find out more about these women. If anyone were to be set up by republicans it would be Franken. An effective democrat.
I wish our fellow democrats were less enthusiastic about Franken walking the plank. After Matt Lauers light speed ejection from the Today show, I would like to see a more pedestrian pace with our elected officials. Like buzzcook says, these people were hired by the majority of voters. A measured pace, please.

Another stupid action by a democrat was apparently Chuck Schumer agreeing with Trump to move the embassy in Israel.

It's taken a lot of years of hard work by serious people to broker what peace we have in Israel.
Now Trump thinks he can take a sword to the Gordian knot. Bad idea. Please don't do it Mr.Trump. Leave it to someone else.
Someone else who gives a damn about the consequences of their actions.

I've heard of some people just apoplectic and on the verge of having a fit because Franken sits in a Senate seat from Minnesota.
I don't think it's because he's Jewish, but for some individuals that may be the case. I think it's because he's effective.
We don't get effective leaders that often. Democrats, give the man some breathing room.

If Franken resigns his likely replacement is Tina Smith the Minn lt gov. She has a very interesting back ground. May even be better than Franken in my opinion.

Maybe Franken has become the sacrificial lamb, but knowing what ass holes republicans are don't see any changes about Trump and the rest. There is a stark difference between Franken and Moore who was in his thirties and waving his privates in front of a 14 year old.
There was great cartoon by the Wash Post the other day that showed a young girl standing between Trump and Moore. With the caption showing Trump saying he would be dating her in a few years and Moore saying he already was.

Hold the phone. Minn Gov said he hasn't made up his mind whom to appoint.

I really hate seeing Franken go. Dammit!!
Like I said this is gonna be real screwed up if Roy Moore wins.
But, as Sen.Lindsay Graham has said-Roy Moore is the gift that keeps on giving for democrats.
