Some of us, such as moi, have kids living at home. In such cases, said children are often bandwidth hogs, allowing nobody else any chance of internet time. Or, in other cases, somebody loves facebook and plays all the videos.
Me, I play games. Games are low bandwidth, but damned sensitive to latency caused by people playing two or three videos at the same time.
To cure this issue (and the wild thing is, they'll never notice it), go into your internet router as admin, and look for the tab for applications and gaming.
When you find it, enable QOS, enable gaming support, and then optimize priority for your pc as highest, and put in the MAC address. You can get the MAC address by either going to the Network and Sharing center, right clicking on the adaptor and then checking status and details (they call it physical address) or by opening a command prompt and using the command
Put the address in the router settings, tell it to save, and that's it. No more breakdowns due to ridiculous quantities of internet video and ads.
