"An accident screws republicans favorite constituents on the tax bill. "

Corporate deductions got messed up in the fine print in the rush to get this monstrosity out the Senate door. It may very well have to run through the Senate again.

After there has been a fair amount of time for public reaction to this ogre of a bill. Hopefully there will be enough groundswell to peel off a couple of republicans.

The big Repub donors in New York are PISSED. They want to know just when the party started supporting double taxation.

That's always been the huge deal in taxes, according to Repubs and now they're getting double taxed because of dropping state and local tax exemptions.

So they are not happy. Maybe they'll become Democrats!

Being the crooks they are, they will just erase that paragraph or whatever like it never happened.

Not being able to deduct school taxes from their federal taxes.

A lot of homeowners are gonna be pissed. And not just New York and California.

Just my opinion. The repugs were apparently marking up the bill as it was voted on. Some dems released a page or two of the marked up pages. Why didn't they release the whole bill so everyone could see it? There are a number of differences between the house and senate versions. For one the house doesn't get rid of the individual mandate which would be another nail in Obamacare.

When he allowed people to sell their PRIMARY RESIDENCE and pay NO capital gains tax. wow! What a break. Say, I bought my house for $400,000 and two years later sold in for $600,000. Without this tax break I would have paid $40,000 to the federal Government.

Well, buried in both tax bills is a clause. Now I must PAY the capital gains tax on the sale of my own home, if I don't live there at least 5 out of 8 years.

Whoa! and the news is silent on this HUGE tax increase.
