"Four feet of rain and then 1/16 inch of ice knocks us on our butt." Edited on Wed Jan-17-18 08:19 AM by DavidLind
Actually four feet of water knocked us on our ass pretty good. To be fair, Houston is not geared for freezing weather. But about 1/16 to 1/8 inch of sleet and ice have pretty much shut the city down. The flyovers and overpasses are icy. As well as secondary road bridges.
Personally I'm worried about my plumbing. My cat climbs into the attic in inclement weather so I need to catch him.
Chili and jalepeņo cornbread on the menu y'all. Stay warm everybody.

Yeah, stay safe. No fun driving on ice. I had studded tires several years ago and managed ok on ice, but they wore out pretty quickley. Here in the east we are supposed to get some snow to night and then warming again.
